ACUEDUCTO AWARD 2025
Presented to the company or organisation recognised for its implementation of innovative technologies or processes originating in Segovia
“De La Tierra” Awards, organised by the Segovian Centre of Madrid, aim to recognise individuals, organisations, associations and institutions that have contributed to the development, promotion and identity of Segovia and its community.
The award recipients received from representatives of the Segovian Centre of Madrid, as well as from the Royal Academy of History and Art of San Quirce, a certificate confirming the award and an artwork created at the Royal Glassworks of La Granja (Segovia).

Each crystal piece is unique, handcrafted by master glassmakers specialising in the art of glassblowing. These works of art are available for purchase in the factory’s own online shop.
The Royal Glassworks of La Granja is a vast rectangular complex housing a collection of buildings that together cover nearly 25,000 m² of built space. The factory was constructed between 1770 and 1784 following the plans of the site surveyor, Joseph Díaz, also known as Gamones.
The Royal Glassworks of La Granja is a unique and singular place where numerous activities related to the world of glass take place. Visitors can explore the Technological Museum, which boasts an impressive collection of glass pieces; watch live demonstrations of work in the furnaces; receive training on glass techniques; or purchase sets of glasses or tumblers made at the Royal Glassworks in the on-site shop.
All these activities serve the founding purpose of preserving the building, the collections, and the traditional glassmaking craft, maintaining it as the only reference site in Spain for artisanal glass production.
